Oleander Hawk Moth Pupae

Actual story: Last year, a few boys found some pupae of the Oleander Hawk Moths and passed them to me. I didn’t know where to keep them, so I placed them in my usual container. I didn’t monitor them for a few days, and the next thing I knew the moths were out. Unfortunately, their wings were brittle and deformed when they emerged. Although handicapped for life, they were big and really beautiful…
Advice to Cyren and his caterpillar: Always keep them in the soil, where its cool and damp!
